Despite the recent controversy surrounding storage auction reality shows, Auction Hunters is still going strong.
On January 30th, Spike is renewing its popular reality show for a fourth season. Auction Hunters: Pawn Shop Edition follows Allen and Ton as they search through storage auctions and convert their finds to sales stock for their new pawn shop, Haff-Ton.
Running this pawn shop should be a challenge considering how much traveling they do to hunt through auctions, but they’ll undoubtedly find a way to make it work.
Haff-Ton Pawn Shop is located at 142 Culver Blvd. Playa del Rey, CA. 90293
In order to run the shop while the boys are out prospecting auctions, the Auction Hunters team has added a new staff member. Known as “Big Sis,” this woman has been buying and selling vintage goods for her whole life according to the Spike’s website. There isn’t much information available about “Big Sis,” including her real name; the newest season of Auction Hunters hasn’t been added to IMDB and there is no bio for this new cast member on the site.
All the same, she does get a brief cameo appearance in the show’s promotional trailer. Refreshingly, she is not a thin, blonde waif, and her character’s addition doesn’t seem geared toward generating sex appeal. All the same, only time will tell what she’ll bring to the table and whether this foray into pawn shop ownership will be a good fit for the show.
So, what do you think about Auction Hunters: Pawn Shop Edition ? Leave your interesting and creative responses in the comments section below.

Yes, the address is listed above, but it has been reported to us that the pawn shop is just as fake as the show. They put up the sign when they are filming and then they take it down when they’re finished.

Although I think Alan is hot, his hot factor just fell with all that makeup he now wears on the show’s new season. Yuck dude, you look gross.

Auction hunters is fake with guaranteed proof. Big sis is shown as someone who has been in this business a while but in reality the reason why theres no info about her or her real name is because she is in fact an actress. If you watch the show operation repo she is an episode as the RO of a benz that is being repoed. She comes out the back of what looks like a club an is portrayed as some tough girl. Proof both shows are bs.

It says in the start its “stories” about their adventures so its not live they are re- enACTments of units they found through the years

Love the show. I’ve watched for all three of the past season and am enjoying the new season. I don’t care if the show is totally real enough for the “purest”. I just enjoy the show and Allen and Ton.

They do not have a business license for a Pawn Shop in this nice neighborhood. It is a rental that is nearby the studio complex. The sign is only put on the wall when they are taping a show. The store is always closed with shelving filled with props bought on Ebay. It would be fun to see some episodes with storage lockers filled with items from the Smithsonian Institute Museums. Its funny that the other bidders only get old furniture & clothing in their lockers, but 1/2 Tonn always makes 5K profit in exotic items you can’t even find in the best antique stores or rare auctions. Nobody has ever put firearms in a storage locker. This show is not even dishonest, its just fun science fiction with two unemployable actors going through the scripted motions of being business men. They must hand out $100 bills to the guys they insult at the auctions to keep from getting their jaws busted with the rude insults to strangers. If the auctions were real, would the guys always be up front with the big camera crew crowding out all the other bidders. Yah, right. This show is as honest as Obama. At least Haf a Tonn don’t want to destroy our country completely.

People do leave firearms in storage lockers. I’ve seen quite a few at auctions.

If you watch storage wars, storage wars texas, and storage hunters, you’ll notice that once in a while, the items found or shown in a locker are used repeatedly in all episodes.i dont think thats a coincidence.and, they visit the same appraisers.coincidence?nnnoooooo

I just saw “Big Sis” on an episode of Operation Repo getting her car repossessed.
She must be an actress. I love Auction Hunters but this discovery makes me like it a little less.

A little more on “Big Sis” I just watched a repeat of Operation repo and wouldnt you know it Big Sis was a person they repo’d a car from and as in every repo there was an incident.
Seems like A&E / TruTV is using the same players in multple shows

Yeah, and on TruTv’s Storage Wars, the guy (Jesse?) with the dark hair and goatee? I saw him in some movie the other day. The only reality show that would be real would be if they took my State Senator, put him in my house and my income and said, “We’ll tape you while you try to live on a real person’s life!”
All of these shows are the same… mindless entertainment. (And I use that term loosely!) I went to one auction where I live and never saw a unit sell for more than $100. And I’d venture a guess that they lost $50 of it paying to get rid of the 10 year old refrigerator and stove! LOL!

Hi guys! One of the reasons I watch the show is to see the interaction between Alan and Ton – usually one of shared knowledge and respect plus a high sense of fun. Please don’t ‘nip’ at each other, you both seem to be smarter than that and better friends than that.
Your show is certainly one of kind – especially the camaraderie you have wi th each other. Thank you for that.

I have to say this show us full of crap, I can’t see any person on this planet winning auctions like they do and every show they are making well over 12k every show and it’s boring me, the pawn shop ain’t real either like someone else commented before me I know this for a fact, can’t they lose once in a while to make the show a bit more interesting. Worst auction show ever, I’m not being pesamistic just a dissapointed viewer!!!

For those of you bashing the show, if you hate it that much then why are you still watching? I personally like many others love the show and hope to God it comes back soon! Compared to some of the other shows this one is more interesting and I’d rather watch re-runs of Auctions Hunters instead of them.

I just happened on your website and see that you give Haff Tons shop address as 142 Culver Blvd. Playa del Rey, CA. 90293,however on looking closer at the picture the address on the building is 143. So is this the wrong building, wrong address or is it really the vacant lot across the street?
